Toledo

Talk about a melting pot... Toledo is a vibrant mix of Jewish, Islamic and Christian cultures, and all these influences are seen architecturally in well-preserved synagogues, mosques, and cathedrals throughout the old city. Over the centuries Toledo was occupied by the Romans, the nomadic tribes of the Visigoths, and the Moors from North Africa. Each era left its mark on Toledo, with legacies that have lived on to the present.
