Mekong Delta

The life-sustaining, Mekong River traverses Southern Vietnam, with hundreds of canals and streams crisscrossing the land. Lush rice paddies and watery green fields nourish the whole country with an abundance of exotic fruits and vegetables. A bustle of floating markets and rickety houseboats with movable fish farms provide sustenance and social structure. The pace of life here is as slow as the river itself.
